The Trailway Ends In Town
The Lake Mineral Wells State Park Trailway runs 20 miles into Weatherford on flat grades and gentle curves, open to hikers, bikers and horseback riders. At the far end the park holds a 640 acre lake with a boat ramp, rock climbing at Penitentiary Hollow and a dump station.
Where The Rig Lives
Not every place has room for a 40 footer, and Parker County is set up for the ones that do not. Midway Meadows RV Park sits two miles off Highway 199 on Midway Road with monthly all inclusive spaces, full hookups, a pool, pet parks and paved walking trails, about five minutes from Azle and Springtown.
A Town Built Around Its Square
The restored Parker County Courthouse is the crown jewel of the square, and the calendar fills in around it with the First Monday Fair and its livestock and produce, plus the Parker County Peach Festival. Weekends here start close to home before they go anywhere else.
